Picoleco

Talk about programming CreatiVision (except games programming). Projects of homebrew hardware are also welcome.

That is amazing! Is it mimicking the Colecovision adaptor for Laser 2001?
Will it work on CreatiVision Mk1, or does this require a Mk2 model?

Hi MADrigal,

we are aiming for a Colecovision Adaptor "++" ;0)

It will use the original Creativision Controllers
It will load games from SD card and have a nice screenmenu (like the MegsSDCart, in fact it is a pimped version of the MegaSDCart)

And we aim for compatibility with MKI and MKII (not completly sure yet, as we are not yet in the VDP "interupt + synchronisation" stage, but we do not need the Creativisions 6502 to be stopped/disabled (as the Adapter for the Laser 2001 does and which is the main difference between MKI and MKII)...)

Maybe some other machines with the same videochip (TMS 9929) will follow... SG1000, ...?

Cheers, TOM:0)

Wonderful!
If you achieve this - I would expect the Colecovision BIOS to be the one from the Laser 2001 Coleco module (improved/adapted as per the recent discussions). Now we even have a full disassembly so it can be easily changed to fit your needs :-)

Hi,

at the moment we are using the original Colecovision BIOS, the Laser2001 Colecomodule BIOS should at least get to the bootscreen, but we have not tried it yet...

Hi MADrigal,

the one in the pictures is a MKII - but it is compatible with all Creativision versions (like the MegaSDCart) ;0)
