Case for the Megacart
Re: Case for the Megacart
Hi,
i printed a new one and it fits nicely into the Creativision... also snaps together very well... Cheers, TOM:0)
Still waiting for my megacart PCBs to travel around the globe
(i imagine them beeing carried by really old postmen, donkeys, bicycles, pidgeons... :0))

Re: Case for the Megacart
Excellent! Good to see the design getting out there.
BTW, are those the right resistor packs? They look like they have only 6 legs. I made that mistake last time, which is why I ended up having to make my own resistor pack... (for 6 resistors, you need 7 legs. Fencepost error.)

Hi Chesh,
yes, they are the wrong type of resistor-packs (i cant believe i made the same mistake after i read your post about it... ;0)) i will patch in another 4,7K somewhere ;0)

Re: Case for the Megacart
Hi,
i soldered my first Megacart, switched the CV on - and was greeted with a black screen... :0(
a few meassurement later i knew whats wrong :0) => the Megacart PCB is a replica of the first Version of the Multicart (that did not work on Creativision MKII machines because of different signals on the cartridge port)
Naturally i own an MKII => One cut trace and one patchwire later i got a working Megacart :0)

Re: Case for the Megacart
I based it on the work of Clockmeister. I am fairly sure it was a clean room reimplementation.
I'll make a note on the Github about it not being compatible with the Creativision II.

Re: Case for the Megacart
Hi,
i tinkered a little bit with the case, so it better fits my printer (removed the shallow area for the label and made it a bit tighter to hold the PCB stronger) i also added a LED as i love to know if the CV is turned on :0)
here is a picture... and a "familypicture" to put on the mantlepiece over the fireplace :0)
Cheers, TOM:0)
