Hey Folks,
I've done a respin of the Multicart to make it more compact, and by using an evil hack, I've even made it so you can remove the ROM without needing to desolder.
This is the new V2 release of the Multicart. Now small enough to fit inside a standard CreatiVision shell.
The special sauce? Oversized holes on the ROM spot. Just use turned pin headers in them, solder them down then cut the legs off the back and voilà! You have a socket that adds nearly no Z height to the board. (These should fit: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32798362486.html)
I've also added two solder jumpers to the back for people with CreatiVision IIs, so they can do those mods that Scouter3d recommended. (This is untested as I don't have a CreatiVision II)
I've dumped the files to a new repository in GitHub.

CC-BY-SA and go nuts folks! Make suggestions for changes!
This is not meant to replace the rather excellent MegaSDCart, rather just improve on my first design. (I like to think I have got better at this stuff since then )

Re: A new release of the MultiCart PCB
Hi Chesh,
great work!
2 questions:
Does this version work also on the MKII
What are the 2 solder-jumpers JP1, JP2 for?
Cheers, TOM:0)
